Germany and England tied 1-1 on the second day of the League of Nations with goals from Jonas Hoffmannat minute 51, and Harry Kanefrom a penalty, in the 88th minute, after a game with many actions from the area and several interventions by the goalkeepers.
The two teams came out to put a lot of intensity into the game, pressing high and trying to get the ball as quickly as possible close to the opponent’s area. Already in the first minute, Germany had its first arrival, in a counterattack play that began at the feet of Manuel Neuer after the first English attack and ended with a shot from Kai Havertztoo focused to put Joe Pickford in trouble.
On the next play Trippier he gave up a corner kick trying to make a return beset by high German pressure, and the corner kick gave Thomas Müller the first German chance.
The match was a back-and-forth type of match with situations in both areas and at a fairly high tempo. In the 6th minute Antonio Rüdiger blocked a Sterling shot inside the area in what was the first English warning.
Two goals disallowed

Towards the end of the first half England showed a clear improvement and had an excellent chance in a shot by Saka to which Neuer reacted with a great save.
However, already in the second half, Germany opened the scoring in the 51st minute through Hoffmann, who scored with a strong shot from his right foot inside the area from a pass from Joshua Kimmich.
England came close to giving an immediate response, with a shot from Mount that Neuer had to swat at 53 minutes and began to seize the ball and put it in the German half.
There was a phase of about a quarter of an hour in which the English domain was clear. However, the Germans shook off and re-matched the actions. In the 70th minute Müller came close to second with a point-blank shot to David Raum’s cross, but was met with a great save from Pickford.
On the other hand, in minute 76, the protagonist was Neuer, impressively stopping a shot from close range by Kane. The English equalizer came late but it came, in the 88th minute, through a penalty sanctioned by the VAR and impeccably executed by Kane.
