‘Nabid’ project gets good response: DHA

Dubai റ്റി The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) says it is responding well to Nabid’s initiative to collect and store patients’ medical records electronically. Nabid has 8.4 million medical records, 31,800 doctors and 298 facilities.

The system will be linked to the Ministry of Health and Prevention’s ‘Riyadh’ initiative to ensure a single medical electronic file for patients across the UAE. The announcement was made at the Nabid Quarterly Forum in the presence of Dubai Health Authority Director General Awad Al Ketbi, officials from the Ministry of Health and Defense, Abu Dhabi Health Department officials and representatives from the private sector. VPS Healthcare Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Shamshir Vayal participated in the forum.

Awad Segair Al Ketbi said the Nabid platform was in line with Dubai’s aspirations to become globally competitive in the healthcare sector. DHA is proud to collaborate with key partners, including the Ministry of Health and Prevention, to ensure that every patient in the UAE has a unified digital medical record. The system will be able to securely store medical records from multiple health centers and make healthcare information available to patients in real time.

The VPS Healthcare Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Mohd. Shamshir said in the field. This will enable data analysis from different sources. The data-based system can help reduce overall treatment costs and increase efficiency.

The initiative will help enhance patient care as well as develop evidence-based health care, prevention and policies, said Dr. Mohd. Said Muhammad al-Reda.
