According to police, “On June 4 at about 10:20 a.m., patrol officers arrived after reporting a suspicious person. Upon arrival at the scene, security personnel told police that a man had entered and caused a disturbance and made threatening remarks against the people.”

The Jewish Center’s Facebook page read: “We are sharing our community because we were targeted by a man who tried to enter our building. At this point, we do not know his intention, however, we decided to proceed cautiously and lock the campus immediately after the man left.”

“The Metropolitan Police, along with detectives from the Counter-Terrorism Unit have arrived at the scene, the Metro Police will provide additional deterrence patrols in the area this week,” the post continued. “We have alerted the relevant authorities, and we are taking all measures to maintain the safety of our staff and community, including reviewing security footage, to see if we can gain further insight into this incident.
