The West Indies toured Pakistan last December and played in the ODI series with 3 T20s and 3 matches. Pakistan won the first T20 series 3-0. One day series postponed due to corona spread.

Meanwhile, the first ODI between the two teams was played in Multan. West Indies won the toss and elected to bat.

Accordingly, batting first, the West Indies scored 305 for 8 in the allotted 50 overs. Starter Shay Hope scored a superb Audi century and was out for 127. Shamar Brooke cooperated well with him. He was out for 70 runs.

For Pakistan, Harris Rob took 4 wickets and Shaheen Afridi took 2 wickets.

Following this, Pakistan set a target of 306 for victory. Opening batsman Bahar Saman was dismissed for 11. Another opener, Imam ul Haq, hit a half-century and was dismissed for 65.

Captain Babur Assam, who landed next, took charge and Audi scored a century. He was out for 103 runs. Mohammad Rizwan was out for 59. In the last phase Khushdil Shah relaxed and put the Audi team to victory.

In the end, Pakistan won by 306 runs in 49.2 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. This gives Pakistan a 1-0 lead in the ODI series.
