NEW DELHI: A girl with her hands and feet tied in the scorching sun on the roof of her house is seen trying to escape on her own. The incident took place on the 2nd of this month in Khajuri Khas area of Delhi. The police investigation revealed that it was the ‘punishment’ given by the child’s mother for not completing the homework. The baby’s skin was scorched by the intense heat.
The police investigation began after the 25-second video went viral on social media. The video was taken from another building nearby. The mother told police that she left the child in the sun for only 5–7 minutes because he had not completed his homework.
