The cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdul Aziz Al Thani, strongly protested against the blasphemy. This is a provocation against the Muslims of the world. ‘References are against the values of tolerance, co-operation and civilized society. The cabinet rejected the allegations as insulting to Islamic values.
The cabinet condemned the move by the Foreign Ministry and the Shura Council. Meanwhile, protesters chanted slogans at a building in the Qatari city of Lusail. The building is flanked by Arabic words meaning do not touch the Prophet. The image has been shared on Twitter, including by the Al Jazeera channel.
