A creepy story – from a thriller to reality: a raft that sailed in the middle of the sea, off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, carried on its back a 22-year-old named Nathan Kerman. A cargo ship spotting the young man rushed to his death, and the excited Kerman told his rescuers that he had sailed on the raft for 8 days, after his mother who went out with him on a fishing trip did not survive.
Kerman’s story became famous, and many expressed empathy and sympathy for the tragedy that befell him. In the days he and his mother were absent, the extended family sought their traces and many Americans followed their fate with concern. In an interview, Kerman thanked his rescuers and the many citizens who showed empathy and concern for him.
Now, six years after the story, the horrific truth is revealed: Nathan killed his mother and also her father – his grandfather in order to enjoy the inheritance of millions.
The story began after Nathan revealed that his grandfather had a fortune worth $ 27 million. The grandfather had four daughters – one of whom was Nathan’s mother. Since he was the sole heir, a quick calculation he made suggested that he would win a little over seven million dollars if the years were put out of the way.
First he murdered his grandfather in his house – a murder that has not been solved to this day, and a year later he organized for him and his mother a fishing trip in the boat he had purchased.
The years went on a journey but the mother did not know that the boat was full of guys. The son sealed the holes with temporary glue, and when they were in the middle of the sea he allowed the water to penetrate into it. The boat soon began to sink and the young man who was pre-stocked with food and water jumped into a life raft he had prepared and waited until it was discovered by one of the cargo ships sailing in the area.
After receiving the money, the young man was interviewed, described the difficult events he went through with the deaths of the people dear to him, and thanked his benefactors.
Only six years later, the Connecticut prosecution was able to decipher the case and file an indictment against the young man. If convicted, he will likely be sentenced to life in prison.
