3rd ODI against Zimbabwe – Afghanistan win by 4 wickets

The Afghanistan cricket team, which is touring Zimbabwe, played 3 ODIs against that country team. Afghanistan won the first two matches.

The 3rd ODI was played in the capital Harare yesterday. Afghanistan won the toss and elected to field Zimbabwe were bowled out for 135 in 44.5 overs. Sikander Raza top-scored for the team with 38 runs. On the Afghan side, Rashid Khan took a maximum of 3 wickets and Farooqi and Nabi took 2 wickets each.

Afghanistan then went on to score 137 for 6 in 37.4 overs. Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi top-scored with 38 runs. Mohammad Nabi was on the field with 34 runs.

The team won by 4 wickets to win the ODI series 3-0 and win the trophy.

The wash-out of the Zimbabwean one-day series on home soil has caused grief among the country’s fans.
