Kochi: In Kerala, the Kerala High Court has dismissed the pre-bail petition filed by Swapna Suresh and Sarith, the main accused in the gold smuggling case through the United Arab Emirates embassy.

Former Chief of Staff Swapna Suresh, Charith, Sandeep and former Chief Secretary to the State Government Sivasankar were arrested and released on bail in connection with the case. Swapna said.
He further added that his life was in danger following this. KD Jaleel has lodged a complaint with the police. It is a conspiracy to create unrest in the state. Police have registered a case against Swapna.
In this case, Swapna and Sarith’s pre-bail petition was filed in the Kerala High Court. Meanwhile, Binarayi Vijayan has denied the allegations against him.
Opposition parties struggle
Opposition parties, including the BJP, have been protesting for the resignation of Chief Minister Swapna Suresh following allegations that Kerala Chief Minister Binarayi Vijayan was involved in the gold smuggling case. Opposition groups rallied in Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kottayam, Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam yesterday to remove barricades by police.
