Kochi: In Kerala, the Kerala High Court has dismissed the pre-bail petition filed by Swapna Suresh and Sarith, the main accused in the gold smuggling case through the United Arab Emirates embassy.

Opposition parties struggle

Opposition parties, including the BJP, have been protesting for the resignation of Chief Minister Swapna Suresh following allegations that Kerala Chief Minister Binarayi Vijayan was involved in the gold smuggling case. Opposition groups rallied in Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kottayam, Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam yesterday to remove barricades by police.
