Layers of Fears

Bloober Team has revealed a new entry in the Layers of Fears series at this Summer Game Fest. The new Layers of Fear, expected to hit PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in early 2023, is based on Unreal Engine 5, and it builds on the plot of previous games while introducing a new story.

“We’re bringing this special title back to you in a new form that will give players a really fresh gaming experience and give you a whole new understanding of the whole story.” Bloober CEO Piotr Babieno said, “Our plan is to remake a game, but we don’t want it to be a simple collection of remakes of the past two works. We have already thought of a new method, some things can’t be revealed yet, but I can tell you it’s called Layers of Fear for a reason.”

Bloober Team reached a cooperation with Konami last year, and the outside world once thought that the two sides would work together to create the legendary “Silent Hill 2” (Silent Hill 2). Looking at the actual situation now, it seems that this is not the case, but there are also reports that Bloober is actually developing multiple games at the same time, so the sequel to “Silent Hill” is not completely hopeless.
