A 16-year-old minor resident of the Occupied Territories was arrested by the police after violating a border and entering a naval base in Haifa.
Meanwhile, Haifa police officers who were called to the scene took the suspect for questioning at the Haifa police station. The police requested an extension of the suspect’s detention in the Magistrate’s Court until 12.6.22.
The police said: “Yesterday (Thursday) afternoon, a suspect was identified who tried to infiltrate swimming to a base in the north of the country. The suspect was under surveillance and arrested upon arrival at the beach. The suspect was transferred for further investigation by the Israel Police.
