Two people were killed in a car crash while trying to rescue an injured hawk on the road. The accident took place on the Bandra-Worli sea bridge in Mumbai. Forty-three-year-old Amar Manish Jariwala was on his way to Malad on the Bandra-Worli road when he saw an injured hawk on the road. Jariwala asked driver Shyam Sunder Kamath to stop the vehicle. After stopping the vehicle on the roadside, the two got out of the car and approached the hawk.

Meanwhile, a taxi speeding from behind hit Jariwala and driver Shyam. The two were thrown upwards and fell on the road due to the impact of the thunder. Jariwala died on the spot. The injured driver Shyam Sunder died while undergoing treatment.

CCTV footage of the tragic accident on May 30 has just been released. Worley police have registered a case against the taxi driver in connection with the incident.
