S. Mampatti Sri Priya Vidai Nayanar Ponna Vidai Selvi Kovil Festival under Singampunari Union of Sivagangai District is going on. On the eve of the 10th Thirunal Tirthavari Mandakappadi Festival, the first annual grand mini marathon was held by the public and youth of S.Mampatti village, Mayilrayan Fort.
153 people took part in it. Previously the competition was held for boys between the ages of 5 and 10 years. The competition was held for boys between the ages of 10 and 15 for a distance of about one kilometer.
It was followed by a marathon for 15 people over the age of 30 with 153 participants. The distance from Oppilanpatti to Ariyur herd via Thumpaipatti was 8 km.
