Pak vs WI 2nd ODI- Babur Assam’s biggest achievement- Pakistan wins ODI series by defeating West Indies

by time news
Pakistan beat West Indies 2-0 in the 2nd ODI at Multan yesterday.

Babur Assam won the toss and elected to bat first in Pakistan, which is usually battered. But then it was limited to Akhil Hussain (3/52), Joseph (2/33) and Anderson Philip (2/50) and finally finished 275/8 in 50 overs.

Not a single member of the Mayotte team that followed continued to score a fifty. Only Sharma Brooks top-scored with 42 runs. Nicholas Pooran scored 25, Mohammad Wasim took 3 wickets for Pakistan, Mohammad Nawaz took 4 wickets, Sadab Khan took 2 wickets and May Islanders finished with 155 runs in 32.2 overs. The series lost 0-2.

Babur Assam Great Achievement:

Babur reached another milestone in the history of international cricket. In the second ODI of the series against the West Indies he scored 77 off 93 balls and with a fifty plus score, he was featured in the books for the greatest batting record.

This is Babur’s ninth consecutive fifty in international cricket. Babur’s record started with 196 during the second Test of the series against Australia, followed by Babur Assam with 66 and 55 in the third and final Tests.

In the three-match ODI series against Australia, Babur scored two centuries, scoring 57, 114 and 105 * in three matches. In the only T20 match against Aaron Finch, Bobber scored 66 runs. The Pakistan captain, who scored a century (103) in the first ODI against the West Indies (103), now holds the record of 77 runs in the second ODI yesterday with 9 consecutive fifties + scores.

It is noteworthy that already former Pakistan batsman Salim Malik has scored 10 fifties in a row in a row and it seems that Babur will break that record. Coincidentally, Babur overtook former India captain Virat Kohli in the first ODI and became the captain of Pakistan in just 13 matches, scoring 1000 runs. With this, he earned the distinction of being the fastest captain to reach this number in the form of fifty overs.
