Dubai ∙ G. The Venugopal Fans Association Dubai’s first Heart Venu Award will be presented tomorrow at 4 pm at the Safari Mall in Sharjah. Venugopal will present.
The award is given to 6 people working in the field of arts, culture and philanthropy in the UAE. Rajeev Kodampally (Music) Shaji Raghavan (Industry) Thomas Kurian (Producer) Siraj (Keyboard) Manoj Thomas (Charity) and Shashankan (Voice Addition) are the award winners. Venugopal said that he first came to Dubai when he was just starting out as a singer. The support given by the expatriate world at every stage of growth will not be forgotten.
Radhika Tilak was with me when I came to the concert 34 years ago. The keyboard for the event was taken from a sixth grader. The boy was also behind the stage. Today, Deepak Dev, the best music director in Malayalam, is a sixth grader. Venugopal said that every trip to Dubai brings so many memories.
