Jeddah: The term of Jeddah Mayor Saleh bin Ali Al-Turki has been extended to four years. The Mecca Region Governorate announced on Twitter the royal decree extending the term to the best rank. Saleh al-Turki was appointed mayor of Jeddah in July 2018.

Saleh al-Turki has been acting mayor of Makkah since January, following a directive from Majid bin Abdullah al-Hukhaili, the minister of municipal and village housing, who has been acting mayor of Makkah for six months. Saleh al-Turki thanked King Salman and Crown Prince Amir Mohammed bin Salman for extending the mayor’s term.
