Omri Altman, our Israeli representative in Cyprus who plays in the ranks of A.K. Larnaca, is recovering in these moments right from the most exciting and crazy weekend he has ever experienced in his life. The 28-year-old offensive midfielder and his partner, Yuval Golan, got married to a committee at a special wedding, perhaps the most special observed in the world of football – in Athens, Greece. The families and close friends all arrived on a special flight, where even the seats were branded with the initials with the names of the newlyweds, and made it all the way from Israel to celebrate the two who got engaged exactly a year ago.
It is not clear how, but the former Hapoel Tel Aviv made his partner wait ten years until he knelt down, and after another year of engagement – yesterday it finally happened. The festivities started as early as Thursday night, so everyone enjoyed a pre-wedding party where everyone wore white and danced endlessly. Yesterday (Friday) the exciting canopy was held on the private beach of a luxury hotel in Athens, and among the familiar names of friends from the football world who came to celebrate we located: Miran and Maor Buzaglo, Arik Janko who came alone without his wife left in the country with their baby daughter, and Moti Bershetsky and his wife.
After the ceremony and the meal served at an event designed entirely in Greek style, Omri and Yuval’s guests continued to the big party complex. And if already a party, the good friend decided to surprise spontaneously and go up to play. Buzaglo, who only last week warmed up singer Eden Hasson in Hayarkon Park, pinked in a session on the DJ stand and managed to drive the guests who enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime wedding crazy.
