Due to the shortage of coaches in the Chennai-Sports Development Authority, the internal sports structures are lying useless.
The State Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu runs 26 indoor stadiums in districts including Chennai, Ariyalur, Dharmapuri, Dindigul and Kanchipuram.
Unattainable condition
There are 31 swimming pools in 27 districts including Chennai, Ariyalur, Kadalur, Kanchipuram, Dindigul, Erode and Namakkal. Of these, swimmers are trained only through three swim coaches. Students were not able to train in those swimming pools due to lack of coaches. Similarly, for other sports, the shortage of coaches persists.
Emphasis
Of these, free training is provided to government and corporation school students. In addition, the corporation receives revenue annually.
