Khadija, the eldest daughter of musician AR Rahman, was married in a simple ceremony to Riyadh Sheikh on the 5th of last month in Chennai. AR Rahman had announced that he would be hosting the wedding reception as only close family members were present at the wedding.
Following this, the A.R.R. in Chengalpattu district yesterday. The wedding reception was held in Film City. First Minister MK Stalin was accompanied by his wife Durga Stalin.
Posting on his Twitter page, First Minister MK Stalin said, “I would like to extend my congratulations to the newlyweds on attending the wedding reception of Khadija-Riyasteen, daughter of AR Rahman.
Congratulations to the beloved AR Rahman for uniting many hearts with his soulful music across borders and barriers. “
In this regard, AR Rahman thanked First Minister MK Stalin on his Twitter page. In that post he said; –
“Our heartfelt thanks to the energetic Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for coming with his wife and daughter-in-law to greet the loving bride and groom and make our home wedding a special occasion!”
