DALL-E 2 and its disruptive potential

Admittedly, you still have to think about the technology a few moments further, but the logical next step is to have entire videos automatically generated according to your own ideas. Despite smartphones, it takes a lot of effort to produce professional videos yourself – scenes have to be lit, actors found and the video edited. Much better would be a solution that eliminates all this effort and automatically produces entire video sequences. The genre of commercials is probably the most suitable for this, because the need for them is exploding together with the booming video-based apps like TikTok. Incidentally, this idea is not entirely far-fetched: the Berlin start-up Zebracat is already working on a solution that uses artificial intelligence to edit existing video material into advertising videos. Zebracat co-founder Michael Baumgartner sees great opportunities for his start-up: “Videos simply work much better online than images. In online marketing, on average, you see 20 to 30 percent higher conversion rates and two to three times higher click rates for videos than for images. It takes massive automation to capitalize on this opportunity.”
