by time news

With just two months to go before the election, French President Emmanuel Macron is heading for a majority vote in parliament.

France’s newly elected president, Emmanuel Macron, is facing strong opposition from the M மெlenchon-led New Left Alliance in a vote to prove its majority in parliament.

Macron’s coalition is expected to win between 270 and 310 parliamentary seats, with a majority of about 579 across France.

But Elabe estimates that the Left could win between 170 and 220 seats in this election. This is a good increase compared to 2017.

And while Macron’s coalition needs a majority of 289, predictions are likely to fall to 40.

At the end of the first round it was not clear what the definitive signals would be as to who would win the majority by the end of June 19.

It is also worth noting that President Macron will only be able to hold a majority in parliament if President Macron’s coalition wins more seats in this election.
