Are you ready to go? Do not forget the e-services | Information and e-Government Authority Electronic Services

by time news

Manama: The Information and e-Government Authority has called on locals and expatriates to make the most of electronic services when traveling abroad. There are a number of e-services available on Bahrain’s national portal and mobile app, bahrain.bh. Electronic services that provide both time and financial benefits are very useful during travel. Passengers should check the validity of their ID card on the portal. The ID card can be renewed online up to one month before it expires.

In collaboration with the Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA), the Bahraini passport can be renewed up to six months in advance. Foreign travelers can download the ‘Wejhaty’ app through bahrain.bh/apps to get the visa rules, insurance information and Bahrain Embassy number of the destination country. This system has been set up in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs.

An e-traffic app has also been set up in collaboration with the Traffic Directorate for travelers on the King Fahad Causeway. This will make it easier to renew the vehicle registration and provide authorization for crossing the causeway. Bahraini vehicles going to Saudi Arabia can get certificates and insurance policies through this.

Those who rent a car abroad can apply for an international driving license through the National Portal. It can be obtained before departure with the existing driving license. Covid-19 vaccination certificate is required to enter some countries. You can get this certificate from the Beware app. For inquiries regarding electronic services, please contact 80008001.
