Yamaha has started a new business in the Indian market that leases electric vehicles. Yamaha has decided to launch a new leasing business in the name of Moto Business Service India.

According to the new business, Yamaha is investing in a delivery service company called Chip Electric. Moto Business Service India is all set to supply 250 Hero electric scooters to Chip in a new leasing business. The chip company intends to use these electric scooters in its business.

The chip has about 5,000 electric scooter models nationwide. Not only this, the chip company has also decided to expand its business in the Indian market. The chip company has set a target of having 1.5 lakh electric vehicles by 2024.

Yamaha begins electric scooter leasing business in India

Yamaha NEO’s:

Through the new business alliance, Yamaha is set to realize that it has big plans in the electric vehicle business. Yamaha is currently launching a new electric scooter model in the Indian market. This scooter is for sale under the brand name Yamaha NEO’s. The Yamaha Neo electric scooter is a model developed for developed countries such as Japan.

Yamaha is expected to offer a 2.5 kW motor in the new NEO’s model it is currently developing. It also comes with a 50.4 volt, 19.2 Ah lithium ion battery pack. This scooter is expected to offer a range of up to 68 km on a full charge.
