Legislative: has the abstention of young people harmed the Nupes?

It was one of the great unknowns of the ballot and, certainly, an issue for Nupes: abstention among young people. Because, as the Ipsos and Sopra Steria poll for France TV and Radio France showed, 18-24 year olds were the ones who were most likely to vote for Nupes (42% of respondents), just ahead of 25-34 year olds ( 38%). At the same time, it was also these age categories that planned to abstain the most, with 69 and 71% respectively. By comparison, those over 70 were only 31% planning not to go to the polls and only 15% wanting to slip in a ballot for a Nupes candidate.
