The state company Avtodor, which is a state customer of large infrastructure projects, faced restrictions on the delivery of goods to the construction site of the Moscow-Kazan (M12) highway by rail, said Avtodor CEO Vyacheslav Petushenko (Interfax reported his words). According to Petushenko, at the stage of active deployment of work, the builders encountered difficulties with the delivery of the required volumes of inert cargo (crushed stone, gravel, expanded clay, sand. – “Vedomosti”). This happened due to a shortage of wagons and restrictions on the Russian Railways network in the places where the new railway will pass, he explained.

The railway station in Murom in the Vladimir region cannot cope with the flow of goods going to the construction site today, Aleksey Andreev, general director and co-owner of DSK Avtoban, told the agency. His company is building the fourth and sixth sections of the M12 in the Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod regions and Chuvashia. According to Andreev, now only 60-70% of the amount of cargo required by the company is delivered to the construction site. Moreover, in 2022–2023. the amount of cargo will only grow.
