EA freshly made duvet beckons and calls: “Lie down!” Ideally, it still smells of detergent. No wonder that hotel visitors fall into bed first thing after entering the room. It’s hard to resist the many pillows in a symmetrical arrangement, and your own bed is seldom made so lovingly and perfectly.
Too bad actually. There you have such beautiful bed linen, and then they just lie carelessly folded in the closet, just as carelessly knotted up next to them: the fitted sheets. In this case, it is better to keep the cupboard doors closed. Unfortunately, the hope that the creases will disappear once the sheet is stretched tightly over the mattress is usually not fulfilled.
For full sleeping pleasure: don’t shy away from the effort of folding.

But there is a solution to the problem. This is shown by the beds of experienced housewives and housemen who are familiar with the art of folding fitted sheets. And this is how it works: First of all, the sheet is spread out over a large area, ideally on the mattress itself. Then you stick your hands into the two corners on the left and right on the lower side, turn them inside out so that the seam appears, and then push your hands into the two corners of the upper side. The sheet is now halved and can be smoothed out with your hands.
The two remaining corners are then folded into one another and the sheet is reduced to a manageable size. There are now three clean edges. An unsightly sheet belly is only hanging out on one side. This is simply folded inwards once at the height of the corners. After that, all you have to do is fold the sheet one last time and you have a perfect rectangle the size of a small pillow.
If you only have little space in the closet, you can fold the bed sheet as often as you like. The small rectangle can be easily stowed away and is therefore safe from the critical eyes of fastidious guests. When covering the mattress, the sheet shows no unsightly folds. The imitation of the hotel bed is complete. Happy nap!
