Cancer Research Institute Ghent (CRIG)

Fundamental, translational and clinical cancer research in various fields of expertise. Deliver better and faster outcomes for cancer patients through collaboration between academia and industry;

Cross-Health platform (XH)

The following disciplines work together within the Cross-Health platform to develop applications that benefit human and/or animal health: veterinary and human medicine, plant biotechnology, bioengineering, medicinal chemistry and data sciences.

Ghent Gut Inflammation Group (GGIG)

Understanding how the complex interactions between the intestinal microbiota and host cells affect both intestinal and extra-intestinal health (eg in the brain and joints) requires a multidisciplinary approach. To meet this challenge, GGIG connects the expertise from 4 different UGent faculties.

Ghent University Research for Aging Young (GRAY)

GRAY is an interdisciplinary consortium aimed at boosting healthy aging through excellent translational research, societal impact and valorisation of new solutions, interventions, products and services. GRAY combines expertise in health promotion, environments and urbanisation, adaptive technologies, societal valorisation and fundamental research within the domain of aging and closes the gap between science and society.

U(Z)Gent platform of gene, cell and tissue Engineering (GATE)

This platform promotes multidisciplinary collaborations in AUGent/UZ Gent to accelerate the creation and commercialization of cell and tissue engineering research. This encompasses a wide range of technologies and expertise applicable to gene and cell therapy, artificial organ systems and regenerative medicine.
