Will the Lower Bavarian village policeman Franz Eberhofer soon no longer have to solve cases? His spiritual mother is considering it. But she is still writing.
Rita Falk, author of the best-selling crime comedy about the Lower Bavarian village policeman Franz Eberhofer, is thinking about the gradual farewell to her main character.
“In the meantime I’ve gone through all the motives and used all the weapons. The ice is slowly getting thin,” said the writer of the “Süddeutsche Zeitung”. Falk is currently writing her twelfth book in the Eberhofer series, which she began more than ten years ago.
Since the fifth or sixth volume, she has been saying goodbye a little. “Whenever I get to the end of a book, I get a little nostalgic and think about how long readers will want these stories,” said the 58-year-old.
