‘Prakashan Parakkatte’ directed by Shahad Nilambur and scripted by Dhyan Sreenivasan is a pure rural film with no new generation formulas. The film tells the story of the dreams and hopes of Prakashan and his eldest son Dasan, who are having an affair in a hilly village. Prakashan, who hopes that his children will be able to spread their wings to heights that he cannot reach in life. Can Dasan Prakash’s dreams come true without going to 10th class and losing school? Will light shine in Prakash’s life? The answers to all these can be seen and experienced through this small family film.

Prakashan is a planetary master who struggles to make ends meet and struggles to make ends meet. The eldest son Dasan is allergic to school steps. Prakashan and his wife Latha also have a son. Akhil, an LP school student. The story progresses with the emphasis on Dasan and Prakashan.

It is while celebrating the life of Uzhappi Uzhappi that love is planted in the mind of the servant. That love sees success from a thought he gets from his childhood. Thus new desires and hopes sprout in the servant. Suddenly there is a crisis in their family that is happily moving forward despite the setbacks. It’s the life of a slave.

Dileesh Pothen’s performance is the backbone of the film. He was filled with a family man who was our neighbor as we all know him. Matthew, who played the slave, also gave a remarkable performance. He became a director to present the father-son relationship in an interesting way and the strength of that relationship in its depth.

Saiju Kurup shines as the character of Kuttan who arrives as Prakash’s son – in – law. Saiju Kurup’s timing was also relevant in comedy scenes. Nisha Sarag also played the role of housewife Lata. Master Rithun Jay Sreejith Ravi’s son of actor Sreejith Ravi’s performance is also worth mentioning. Malavika, who came in as Mathew’s heroine, did not make a bad debut either. The other characters are Govind Pai, Sreejith Ravi and Sminu Sijo. Aju Varghese and Dhyan Srinivasan appear in guest roles.

The script of the film is nothing new. Some scenes that are outdated and out of context make the film dramatic. The narrator and director have been able to convey the life crises and difficulties of the common man to the audience through the character of Prakashan. But the film manages to entertain as well as inform.

The music is by Shaan Rahman. For Guruprasad, the cinematographer, the story is told in a rural setting of Malappuram.

Prakashan Parakkatte is a two hour long family film about father-son relationship, brotherly love and teenage love. As mentioned in the beginning, this is a unique country film that evokes the innocence of the countryside with no alcohol or smoking.
