Meanwhile, protests over the Agnipath are escalating into massive attacks across the country. The clashes are in Bihar and Haryana. Today alone, 10 trains were set on fire by militants. Protesters also set fire to a BJP office in Madhepura. A policeman was stabbed in the leg during a clash in Nazareth. Internet services in Bihar were suspended till the next day in the wake of the clashes.

A total of 35 trains were canceled in various parts of the country. Several government buses were wrecked in Ferozepur and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. The protesters attacked the police station in Aligarh.
