by time news

The body was found burnt at Peroorkada in Thiruvananthapuram. The body of Ajay Kumar (66), a native of Peroorkada Vazhayala, was found burnt in a field on the Mannanmoola Iron Ore line. The body is believed to be more than two days old. The body, which was found to be infested with worms, was not completely cremated. Police suspect the incident was a homicide.

The body was found by locals just after 10 a.m. Saturday. The stench was felt when a person near the place where the body was lying came to clean his yard. The body was later found when a nearby location was inspected.

A coconut tree was lying on the ground where the body was found. But there were no coconuts near the place where the body was lying. This also raises the mystery.

The deceased was identified as Ajay Kumar, a Congress candidate from Madathuvilakam and Manikandeshwaram wards. He was staying at his daughter’s house in Srikarahat due to family problems. It is learned that Ajay Kumar has not been seen from here for the last four days. The police arrived, prepared an inquest and sent the body for post-mortem.
