Australia’s Steve Smith has been ruled out of the 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka due to injury.
Australia beat Sri Lanka 2-1 in the T20 series. Currently playing in the ODI series with 5 matches. Is tied at 1-1. Former captain Steve Smith is said to be stepping down from the 3rd match. Jose is expected to replace him with an English player.
With just 11 days to go before the start of the Test series, the Australian medical team is reportedly looking after him.
Already, Australia’s Sean Abbott (broken finger), Kane Richardson (muscle spasm), Mitchell Starc (finger injury), Mitchell Marsh (sprain) and Marcus Steinis (muscle spasm) have all been ruled out with injuries. It remains to be seen.
