Bhubaneswar: A young man ran 60 km to protest against the Agneepath recruitment method for the army. Naveen Biswas, a native of Nabarangpur district in Odisha, ran from his hometown to Biju Patnaik Stadium in Umerkota. Naveen is a candidate who participated in the army recruitment rally 2 years ago and has passed the aptitude test and is waiting for the written test. Naveen said violence was not the answer.

Naveen’s mother Vaishakh said the opportunity for the youth to serve the motherland should not be squandered. The strikers questioned the rationale behind the two-year suspension of recruitment to the government forces, which regularly conduct civil service exams and IPL matches.
