BEIJING: China has launched a state-of-the-art state-of-the-art aircraft carrier as it seeks to establish control over Taiwan and dominate the Indo-Pacific region.
Named ‘Fujian’, China’s third and first fully indigenously built aircraft carrier, the aircraft carrier is named after the south – eastern coastal province of Fujian, the closest province to Taiwan.
China aims to strengthen its navy in the Indo-Pacific region through Fujian, which operates on the latest technology. The Liaoning is China’s first aircraft carrier. In 2012, China commissioned Soviet-made lining. Shandong, commissioned in 2019, is China’s second aircraft carrier. Although made in China, Shandong is based on Soviet technology.
China launched Fujian for the first time from the Jiangnan Nan Shipyard in Shanghai yesterday, two days after it was postponed in the wake of the Kovid expansion. The U.S. currently has the largest number of aircraft carriers in service. 11 nos. China is in second place with 3 points.
Fujian weighs more than 80,000 tons. Fujian is built on technology that allows fighter jets to fly faster. Construction of the Fujian began in 2018. Once launched, Fujian’s maritime experiments will begin. A fourth aircraft carrier is under construction in China.
There is speculation as to whether this is nuclear power. As part of the military’s modernization, the Chinese government has accelerated the production of aircraft carriers, including ships.
