Chinese scientists say they have found evidence of water on the moon.
Neighboring China launched the ‘Changi-5’ unmanned spacecraft to the moon in 2020. The spacecraft landed on the moon in an area never before explored in the ‘Storm Sea’. Also, 1,731 grams of soil and stones were collected from there and returned to Earth. This soil sample has been researched by Chinese scientists and published in a study.

The study, published in the scientific journal Nature’s Communications, states:
Soil extracted from the moon contains a crystalline mineral called ‘apatite’. It has been found to contain water in the form of ‘hydroxyl’.
Much of the Moon’s aquifer is thought to have been formed by chemical changes caused by the sun’s exposure. This study shows that there was water on the moon. However, there is still no consensus on how water resources came to be.
Thus it is said.
