Samsung Next, the investment and innovation arm of the Korean technology corporation Samsung, announced the joining of Shira Hadas Nakar to the position of Community Builder in the Israeli branch.

As part of her new role, Shira will be responsible for nurturing and responding to communities in the worlds of entrepreneurship and technology in Israel and establishing new collaborations. In doing so, it will promote events and conferences related to the areas of investment in which the fund operates and will assist the fund’s portfolio companies in addressing their community challenges. Also, as a former media woman, Shira will be responsible for the foundation’s presence on social media.

Shira Hadas Nakar worked for the “Here” broadcasting corporation for over five years, of which about three years as the channel’s technology reporter, and the rest of the time as editorial coordinator and deputy editor. Prior to that, she worked as the technology correspondent for Gali Tzahal for three years, between 2013 and 2016. In addition to her professional experience, Shira managed to go to the Sam Spiegel School of Television and Film and acquire writing and production skills that will accompany her performance in her new role.

Samsung Next focuses on software investments with a focus on areas such as digital healthcare, Web3, cloud technologies, fintech and the worlds of media and gaming. Samsung Next’s portfolio list includes Forter, OverWolf, Quantum Machines and many others Healthy.io, StreamElements.
