Coming soon: Israeli electricity will reach Nasrallah’s bunker

by time news

In Lebanon, it is reported that next Tuesday an agreement is expected to be signed for the purchase of natural gas for the benefit of electricity production in the country – from Egypt. But a little more in-depth examination reveals an interesting surprise: this is all Israeli gas. The agreement follows the recent visit of US Energy Ambassador Amos Hochstein to Israel and Lebanon.

According to the agreement, a round deal will be made between Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, in which Egypt will purchase natural gas from Israel, and flow it through the Arab gas pipeline through Jordan to the Syrian city of Homs and from there to Tripoli in Lebanon. Natural gas will be able to generate electricity for the land of cedars, which suffers from a severe energy crisis that darkens many areas in the country and jumps the price of electricity production as well as the oil prices that run the generators for its production.

The Arab pipeline passed Egyptian gas to Lebanon via Jordan and Syria between 2009 and 2011, but has since been “partially occupied” by Israeli gas.

Today, Israel transfers the gas it produces in the opposite direction – through Jordan to Egypt. The other part of the Arab pipeline, the one that faces north from Jordan to Syria and Lebanon, is not in use today, but under the new agreement Israel will transfer natural gas through it to Lebanon, after, of course, it is purchased or in other words bleached, by Egypt.

The other phase in the project to save Lebanon from its energy crisis is the production and export of Jordanian electricity to Lebanon via an upper voltage line, which also begins in Sinai, passes over the Gulf of Aqaba and from there to Syria and Lebanon. Since 80 percent of Jordanian electricity, as of today, is generated through the Israeli natural gas reservoir Levitan, it can be said that this electricity that will reach the Lebanese is also Israeli electricity. So in fact it can be said that molecules with a blue and white flag and electricity produced from Israeli gas will help illuminate Nasrallah’s bunker.

In order to implement the agreement, the United States had to remove its opposition to the transfer of gas through Syria, which is expected to cut a coupon for the transfer of gas and profit from the deal. Assad: The transfer of natural gas and electricity through his country is expected to generate income for him.

The rescue agreement for Lebanese energy, which is based on Israeli gas, will be implemented while Hezbollah launches threats against Israel against the background of the conflict over the shark reservoir. “We can prevent Israel from extracting the gas,” Nasrallah said in a speech delivered on the background of the arrival of a shark rig in Israel. In this arena, no solution has yet been found to the maritime conflict between Lebanon and Israel.
