Washington: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has approved the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) approval for the emergency use of Pfizer and Modena Kovid 19 vaccines for children in the US. The vaccine was approved by the FDA last Friday. However, the recommendation was made at a review meeting held last day after it was found that the vaccines were effective and safe, as distribution could only begin with the approval of the CDC. The Modena vaccine is usually given in two doses to children 6 months to 5 years of age. Pfizer is available in three doses for children 6 months to 4 years of age. Covid vaccine is available in the U.S. for all categories except children under the age of five. The U.S. is the first country to approve Pfizer and Modena vaccines for children. U.S. President Joe Biden has announced that the vaccine will be available from this week and distribution will begin. As soon as the FDA approved it, the U.S. government proposed that 10 million doses be made available for distribution.
