Colombo:

Sri Lanka is facing a severe economic crisis. As a result, there is a severe shortage of petrol and diesel. Petrol is sold at over Rs 400 per liter.

People are waiting in long queues to buy petrol. Former Sri Lankan cricketer Rosen Maganama is assisting them with humanitarian aid.

He exchanged tea and buns. Mahanama shared this with the picture on his Twitter page.

We partnered with the Community Mill Share team to provide tea and buns to people waiting in line for petrol. The length of the queue is getting longer day by day. People waiting in line for hours can have health problems. So the people standing in line look at each other. Carry food and water by hand. If you have a health problem, call the people on the side or the 1900 helpline. We just have to take care of ourselves in this difficult environment.

Thus he has said.

Maganabana played for Sri Lanka from 1986 to 1999. He has played in 213 ODIs and 52 Tests.
