Xbox Series S/X controllers appear to be out of stock in Europe –

by time news

Microsoft loves the Xbox controller and often releases them in various colors and other variants. With so many different options to choose from, one might think getting a new one would be a breeze. but it is not the truth. At least not now.

As noted on social media, the Xbox Series S/X controllers appear to be sold out across Europe. All options, including the basic black-and-white standard alternative, are also gone. We did a quick survey of Gamereactor editors across Europe and we all got the same result. Nothing, Nada, Nient, Nicht. Not even the Microsoft Store sells the controller.

We’ve reached out to Microsoft for comment on this, but usually when video game hardware is sold out, it’s because it’s about to be refreshed. Microsoft has been known to have been working on new controllers with haptic feedback for the Xbox Series S/X (available on the PlayStation 5), and a reasonable guess would be to clear old stock of regular controllers before replacing them with new versions.

Then again, we’re still suffering from the pandemic in various ways, and Russia’s war against Ukraine has also caused riots – and that might have something to do with that too.
