A woman suffered a heart attack at an airport in North Carolina after rushing to a different gate during a chaotic weekend of flights that were delayed, canceled, or departed late. More than 900 flights were canceled last Sunday, leaving passengers stranded across the United States, and more than 200 routes scheduled for Monday have already been canceled.
Angry passengers have called on social media for airlines to address delays and cancellations of long hours left by sleeping children on the filthy airport floors. One woman wrote directly to the airline on Twitter, “If you do not have enough pilots, stop selling tickets for all the flights. “I prefer to pay more and arrive on time so that my children do not have to sleep on the floor of the disgusting airport in the middle of the night while they wait for your pilots to arrive.”
