Beyond the huge Eurovision victory in Lisbon, winning the “Next Star” or even his early career as a bar singer, Neta Barzilai’s biography contains some interesting details that not everyone knows about. Did you know that at the age of three months she moved with her family to Nigeria, due to her father’s work at Solel Boneh, and at the end of the period she returned to Israel?

Just before flying to tour the United States where she is now, and while working on a new song abroad, Barzilai returned to Nigeria where she visited the school where she grew up as a child until the age of six.

Barzilai gave the children of the school an activity and made them sing her hit “Bassa Sabba” in Hebrew and English. We melted.

Barzilai later opened the Pride events in Chicago in front of thousands of people who came to celebrate. On her Facebook account, the singer wrote: “Chicago – what was that ?! I’m wrong! I think I have not been so happy since March. Thank you for bringing life and color to my cheeks. My fans are air. Thank you baby rhinos. Happy Pride Day.”
