Secretary of State Chrysoula Zacharopoulou under investigation for rape, for acts committed within the framework of her profession as a gynecologist

An investigation was opened after the filing of two rape complaints against the Secretary of State for Development, Francophonie and International Partnerships, Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, the Paris prosecutor’s office said on Wednesday (June 22nd), confirming information from Marianne.

The first complaint denouncing acts of rape was filed on May 25 and the investigation opened two days later, said the prosecution, adding that a second complaint had been filed on June 16. According to the weekly, the alleged acts were allegedly committed in the context of his profession as a gynecologist.
