Stade de France: English supporters report the incidents to the Senate

by time news

Although they have promised not to set foot in France again, several English supporters have returned to Paris to be heard in the Senate, less than a month after the incidents of May 28 at the Stade de France. This Tuesday, June 21, they shared their version of the facts about the “disastrous” management of this final of the Champions League football.

As a reminder, the last round of the famous competition was to be held in Saint-Petersburg in Russia, before being reallocated to the French capital because of the war in Ukraine. The start of the match was delayed by more than 30 minutes and numerous incidents spoiled the evening.

We are now trying to find out who is to blame: the government blames the English by deploring massive fraud with “counterfeit banknotes”, the latter deny it and many of them claim that they were attacked by the French font.

Ted Morris, chairman of the Liverpool Disabled Supporters Association, was able to forward the testimonies of people who were victims of the action of the police. They report tear gas projections and abusive violence. An episode that is reminiscent of the many adventures of the Yellow Vests, drawing an awkward, unwelcoming and disturbing France.
