The court of the Sovietsky district of Omsk found the deputy of the city council from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Dmitry Petrenko guilty of disobeying the legal request of a police officer (Article 19.3 of the Administrative Code), according to the court’s website. As Mr. Petrenko specified in his Telegram channel, he was sentenced to ten days of arrest.

As Kommersant clarified in court, the deputy, being at the polling station, was filming, “thereby interfering in the exercise of the powers of the election commission.” He did not react to the demands of the police to stop filming, the court said.

“Disobedience consists in refusing to turn off the camera. Now, if you are not an observer or the media, you are prohibited from filming at the PEC. Next time, be more careful when you want, for example, to capture yourself with a ballot paper at a polling station, ”said Mr. Petrenko in his message.
