9 corrupt officials dismissed in Kashmir

Srinagar: The Union Territory Administration has taken action by dismissing nine government officials accused of corruption in Jammu and Kashmir.

In Jammu and Kashmir, nine high-ranking officials working in the housing and urban development departments were accused of corruption. A detailed inquiry was ordered into the matter. At the inquest it was determined that they had abused their position and engaged in bribery and corruption.

Following this, disciplinary action was taken against eight corrupt officials under Section 226 (2) of the Essential Services Regulation Act of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Government. All nine officers were dismissed and ordered by the Union Territory Administration.
