A bank manager was killed in a road accident in KK Nagar, Chennai when a tree fell on his car.
Vani (57) from Porur, Chennai used to work as a manager in the National Bank in KK Nagar. He was returning home in his car after work this evening. Sister Ezhilarasi was also in the car with him.

At this stage, their car was coming through PD Rajan Road when a tree in the area suddenly broke its roots and fell on the car. The bank manager Vani was killed on the spot.
His sister Ezhilarasi and the driver of the car were seriously injured. Both were immediately recovered and admitted to hospital for treatment. Police are investigating the incident.
It is said that the tree fell due to digging a ditch for rain water drainage works at the spot.
