Morocco is planning to expand three airports

The National Airports Office in Morocco is in the midst of studies related to the process of expanding the airports of Tangier, Marrakesh and Agadir in order to increase their handling capacity in order to reduce congestion and adjust their size to the volume of existing activity.

According to the Minister of Transport and Logistics of Morocco, Muhammad ‘Abd al-Jalil, the ministry is currently working on implementing a number of improvements at the above airports, pending the completion of the expansion work procedures as planned. According to a government source quoted in the Moroccan media, these works are part of a new strategic plan of the Ministry of Airports for the years 2021-2025, which aims to improve the services provided to passengers and airlines operating in the kingdom, both local and international.

‘Abd al-Jalil recently stated that his office, through the Ministry of Airports, had implemented a series of measures, including improving the care and guidance of passengers within airports, expanding parking lots and allocating new spaces for retail and communications.
