In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, the state Human Rights Commission has issued a ‘notice’ in connection with the death of a child while delivering in a vehicle due to negligence on the part of hospital staff.

Here, a pregnant woman living in Navgan village of Chattarpur district went into labor pains and went to the primary health center on the morning of the 23rd. Staff there said the delivery would take place between 9:00 – 10:00 p.m. However, the woman was not admitted to the hospital. The woman, who was lying on the veranda and in pain, was told to go to the district government hospital at 1:00 p.m.

But, the ambulance did not pay. The baby was born on the way to the woman who went to the ambulance arranged by a social activist there. But, after a while, perished. The State Human Rights Commission (KHRC) yesterday issued a notice to the Chattarpur Collector and the District Medical Officer (DHM) inquiring into the matter.
