Watch… Strange polygons appear in the springtime on Mars

by time news
A scientific journal published articles in which it referred to a strange phenomenon that scientists recently spotted on the surface of Mars, during the spring season of the Red Planet.

A new image taken on March 30, 2022, by the orbiting camera during the High Resolution Imaging Experiment (HIRISE), revealed a western phenomenon observed on the surface of Mars.

The camera lens spotted the image as a mixture of white zigzags cracking across the Martian soil at high latitudes, with occasional sprinklers of black and blue mist spreading between them.

Researchers at the University of Arizona, which operates the HIRISE mission, wrote in a statement published on Monday that strange zigzags of polygons and colorful sprays are a hallmark of Mars spring, as disguised reservoirs of subterranean ice erupt onto the dry Martian surface.
